Dr. Shane Maule
I didn’t start my career in dentistry the way most people do. Before becoming a dentist, I studied music and earned a degree in Jazz Performance at Arizona State University. My twin brother, Shawn, and I both pursued music — I play guitar and he plays upright bass. That love for creativity and precision is still a big part of who I am today, and it naturally carried over into dentistry. Dentistry, much like music, requires both technical mastery and artistry, and that’s what inspired me to pursue this path.
My Journey in Dentistry
I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2020 and have been practicing for five years. Since then, I have completed over 250 hours of continued education and graduated from the world-renowned Kois Center in Seattle. My ultimate goal is to one day become a Kois Mentor and pass on Kois principles to future dentists.
Areas of Expertise
While I provide all the essentials of everyday dentistry — from fillings and crowns to root canals, extractions, implants, braces, and Invisalign — my true passion lies in advanced care. I specialize in esthetics, TMD (jaw joint disorders), and full-mouth rehabilitation. These cases are complex but deeply rewarding because they often transform not only smiles but also confidence and quality of life.

My Philosophy of Care
I believe that no two patients are alike. Every person has their own unique risk factors, genetics, and resistance or predisposition to disease. That’s why I don’t use a “cookie cutter” approach. Instead, I focus on treating the disease of the person, not just the result of the disease.
When designing a smile, I use careful documentation and photography to create a plan — just like you wouldn’t build a house without a blueprint, you shouldn’t create a smile without a design. This allows my patients to see their future smile, provide feedback, and feel confident in the process every step of the way.
Why I Love Dentistry
For me, dentistry is about doing what’s right and providing the highest standard of care possible. I enjoy working through even the most challenging cases and seeing everything come together in the end, knowing that the treatment was done with intention to last. There’s nothing more fulfilling than helping patients who felt hopeless about their dental health and restoring their ability to smile with confidence again.
